Understanding Helminthic Therapy

Dr. Stephen Michael Nenninger presents helminthic therapy as immune regulation through a controlled colony of the hookworm Necator americanus.

He argues that modern sanitation removed organisms humans co-evolved with, and that their absence correlates with TH1-dominant autoimmunity in populations carrying Neanderthal-derived immune genes.
